4 - Ronald Araújo

This dude is probably our biggest thing weakness, sure we could use a better LB backup but the CB position is really important - like REALLY!
It's not a matter of if he fucks up, more like a matter of when and how much. I trust Flick, at least he's brought much more joy of watching Barca - but Ara is a chapter we need to put behind us, dude simply isn't Barca quality and never will be... quite the the opposite actually, he's a fucking anchor around our ambitions and what we can achieve. Dude has multiple brainfarts every game he plays, how can Flick not see that when he can see so many other players and positions being improved (like Garcia on RB, trusting Casado etc).
Sure Flick, or no other coach for that matter will ever make all the "correct" choices. Jury still out on Olmo vs Fermin, on Gavi as a whole where he fits in, on fucking Martin on LB etc - but Ara is just so obvious he fucks shit up and has done so for almost 2 seasons... like wtf???

He was? Based on what I've heard it seems he was the weakest link
No I dont think so

If Araujo got fooled by a segunda striker on first goal like Cubarsi was, his season would likely be over by now

While it is true he often makes mistakes, people are now blaming him for everything ever since the PSG game. Mentally it affects him
You must have watched a different game, Araujo in big UCL games we are cooked. If he only had around 10% of Christensens defending IQ he would be world class. He is just too low IQ of a defender unfortunately.

Cubarsi - Christensen is our best CB pairing by far.
I agree Christensen should be starting. But whether in place of Araujo or Cubarsi we might need more time to determine. Weak and slow backline is a part of reason why Inter was scoring at wish

Strange this bum wasn't sold. Maybe in the next summer then. Get rid of this clown, Ter Stegen, Lewa and we might be in for a couple of super stars showing up for next season. (#9 and CB)

Quite the opposite, looked like he got promoted to starting CB and on field captain.

Would guess with Araujo is that Flick is trying to assess what level he can get him to and giving him the benefit of the doubt on last season and missing pre season etc.

Most likely doing that because he knows the type of players Barca have in team.. that lack height and power and the type of teams going to face in CL.

The likes of Liverpool, City, Bayern etc are land of the giants and also all have big powerful CFs.

Flick isnt daft. He knows what Araujo lacks but he is seeing what can coach into team to make up for it and will give it time to 'work'.

Everyone can see clear as day what he lacks on ball and the team will need to make up for it.. Garcia is better on playing ball out than Kounde at RB beside him which maybe plays a part in why there more while Kounde fit while also FDJ will be needed in and around Araujo a lot if it is to work. It probably means less chances for Casado also as him with Araujo nearby is an obvious weakness for teams to take advantage of.

If it fails then can see Christensen if fit being back in to LCB, Cubarsi RCB and Frenkie allowed to do less baby sitting or Kounde to CB but that is massively undersizes in a team already lacking height.
