His passing and positioning were both off.

Was chasing shadows that pace got him out of tight spots at times.

Not a good game and hindering Barca on ball in these type of performances.

Cannot be a leader of defence with that kind of positioning. Has no clue how to position himself, leave alone the rest of the back four. Pique immensely helps him.

See how it goes. If he doesn't improve in 2 seasons, and a good offer comes, sell rather than extend for a salary bump. The next 18 months will be decisive for him. IMO, you can't play at a very high level if you don't pass at least decently.
