The numbers are absolutely mad  Fucking Barto.

No hard feelings for Pique either way, but having the guts to post his salary check last year left quite a bad taste if he just deferred most of it.

Good luck to him. Will be very tough to get playing time if everyone are fit, especially when he himself isn't back to full fitness.

Piqu? will be the fifth centre-back this season behind Kound?, Christensen, Ara?jo and Eric Garc?a. [sport]

Big if true.
If Piqu? accepts Bar?a's pay cut proposal, the activation of the fourth economic lever can be prevented. [ara]
Both Busquets and Piqu? have shown their willingness to help the club achieve Financial Fair Play in order to register the new signings. [md]

The most alarming issue of our squad planning is that there is little resale value throughout the squad.

Well maybe we can make bank with Araujo if he spends a year at RB (should be atleast Cucu money right?) Or one of Gavi or Pedri, but generally along the lines there is no one to make money off of.

And then the ones we can get rid of, have wages way too high. Either stopping them wanting to leave (Frenkie) or us getting a transfer fee (Longlay)

In the end, we probably shouldn't have to turn to Pique and Busi further reducing their wages just to get under cap, and further kick the buck.

But what other option is there outside of the 20th lever, or whatever it will end being.

All the players we bought with the exception of Lewa have resale value. Of course, if they don't flop hard. Add on that Pedri, Araujo, Gavi, Dembele. Old player on high wages have no resale value but that's old news. Don't see how's that a problem with our squad planning.

Plus every other (top) club has the same issues with dead weight as well.

Next summer Griezmann will be officially sold (finally) and good chance players like Dest, Ferran, Nico & Balde follow him.
With Busquets gone, and hopefully Pique retired we should have the ability to have good transfer market and complete rebuilding

The money we owe to these veterans will be tricky to deal with though. It's a huge sum if rumors are to be believed.

That's not an issue at all.

Sure it is when salary cap is tied with transfer income/expenditure and we look to maintain 1/1.

We're not a selling club nor investment club like Dortmund, but it's nice to have disposable equity within the squad options. You could argue that Depay is that but in general just look what Man City managed to make in the market.

Doesn't help when we have a dead domestic market admittedly.
