But we shouldn't do the same mistake and think of him as a starter.
He will get plenty of minutes and be happy. But he should always be the 2nd in line to each position he plays.

Probably true. Especially if he keeps starting. Fine as a Sergio Roberto substitute type maybe.

He has the potential to be a starting player. Gets lumped in the Sergi Roberto category despite being way more tenacious, stronger, a better passer (despite being a defender whereas Roberto was a midfielder) etc. In current form he is a very good RB, not just rotation level.
