24 - Eric García

I mean Eric Garcia was a victim of his age. Cubarsi is the next to go down some type of path similar to this.

CB is tough at a young age. Garcia still is young by the way. Of course he was caught lacking when he was 21 yrs old

He has been good at CB also.

Was brilliant v Getafe in last game for example and the game before v Valencia.

Folk can't handle him make one even slight error when plays there now and it gets overly magnified.

Pep and Koeman saw something in him at the time that kinda baffled us, but it turns out he still needed at least 4-5 more years in the oven to really cook.

He clearly had the intelligence and ball-playing abilities, but it took a while to develop his tactical/physical profile to where it is now. There were times under Koeman he was a walking red card. He would struggle a bit against physical and pacy forwards and often was way too late in challenges and got smoked, and he had to take a card.

Under Xavi he had his moments and I think he really truly began to shine was at Girona, where he became more comfortable at the top level, and Flick further turned him into the player he is today and added a new dimension to his profile.

The lesson I learned is there's a reason Pep, Koeman, Xavi, and Flick rated him highly. Pep would fucking kill to have him back at City I bet.

Liked him for a while now and glad to see him getting recognition.
His versatility is also an asset in itself.

Contract running out in 8 months, we need to move faster.

Aye he has a wee bit more negotiating power than before.

Not that I see the top clubs or big wage paying clubs coming in for him. Bar from the obvious like EuroComo or possibly Arteta.

Should have sorted this one out earlier, but alas, priorities.

Still, losing Christensen, Eric, Frenkie and Lewy in one Summer would put us in a pickle.

And I wouldn't trust the right solutions in an election year.
