Can't believe this is the same player of 2 years ago. Tbh I would probably prefer him to Kounde at RB.
Kounde was one of the 3 best RB this season. He is much more dynamic. But eric is good as a backup in several position. Our problem is cubarsi, he is too weak

Why are there people who still want us to sign a right back when we have this guy?

I think he's definitely good enough to give Kounde plenty of rest

I mean sure it would be nice to have some Dani Alves type who would combine with Yamal but we have much higher priorities right now

Our game plan is rb more defensive, lb offensive. And i agree for the sake of formation and defensive duties. If garcia can develop and hug that rb spot/ worthy challenger for kounde's starting spot, we're fine. we need similar quality to challenge balde on lb, and that might be real pain in the ass to find.

His growth as a defender, especially at RB is truly something to behold.

He looked solid at Girona during his loan. But I never expected him to be able to Cope with Flick's demands as a defender. He struggled under Koeman and Xavi as he couldn't cope with the pace/physicality of forwards.

No longer the slow and meek defender he was in the past.
