24 - Eric García

Eric Garcia and Ferran Torres have had minor miracles of a season. They went from being considered useless to being decent squad players
Arguably we could say quite similar for Raphinha who was basically at the exit at end of last season and the transformation he had this season

So he was a RB all this time who would have thought.

More seriously, good game but I still wouldn't trust him 1 on 1 against likes of Vini.

His loan at Girona was important because he got to play in a low-pressure environment, and he developed nicely under Michel.

Flick added more depth to his toolbox. Granted, it's not the first time he's played RB and DM this season, he's featured once as an RB under Pep and a few times as DM under Xavi but Flick has done a lot developing Garcia in that regard, especially as a DM.

I'd say he's the new Sergi Roberto in this team for his versatility in a good way. Being able to be called upon to start and come off the bench and do the job is fantastic.

Not gonna lie. I was worried when we were going to have a midfield of Gavi-Eric and Fermin for XT and Madrid had all their possession options on the field.

But he and Gavi done well, and it allowed Fermin to get back into the game and create a few dangerous chances.

I don't mind him this season as a utility player. World of difference to how he was here before Flick (and before Girona as another poster noted).

Utility player, we would be stupid to sell, just because he is not starter material.

Has performed to justify his wage. We keep.
