23 - Jules Kounde

he should have been rotated more. no two ways about it. bench is not good enough, but we need to take some gambles across the season so we hit top form at the end. we didn't. our top form was something like 2 months ago. Flick is amazing and has too much to handle, so no judgement.

Flicks lack of rotation is finally catching up.

Two of our most important players are injured for the most important games of the season.

Across the two semi finals, Lautaro, Dembele and Kounde all went off with strains.

It's mostly the schedule.

For Spanish footballs part, having a Cup final where extra time finishes at 1am is a little ridiculous.

That game caused a number of injuries infact.

No way to avoid this if you ask me. Injuries have to be accounted for. We got rather lucky so far.

National leagues should probably provide weekend off in between Semi finals legs btw.

There's that empty weekend slot between MD 37 and 38 where IIRC, the Copa del Rey final used to be.

The schedule is for sure the biggest culprit.
But the manager has to count for it. And knowing its a position where the backup is such a drop of in quality, he should have risked and rotated more.
Think the match against Las Palmas and Leganes spooked him. And he didn't trust the backups much.
Mistake in his part.

He is going to be back next leg. But this leg, we missed him.
And now, the next leg, our other important player, Kounde, will be missed.
Two positions that are vital with less-than-subpar backups. And that's my point.
Eric is not really a less than subpar backup. He did fairly well on RB so far.

* from the clubs obviously. The schedule is murder.

I agree and new competitions keep popping up. Even the friendly matches are now competitions. It's stupid.

Agaisnt Madrid we will be fine, if flick is smart are play araujo there.

But knowing him he'll go with Garcia and it could get ugly

That's why you rotate early before the crucial final stretch. Fort (or Eric Garcia)says hi.

creampie went for a 10km run when he was rested some weeks back for a match so Flick decided not to rest him

was the wrong response since running in a straight line without incessant quick stop and gos in a match wouldn't have pulled his ham although the proper response from Flick should've been to demand he takes it easy, light jog or whatever as a compromise
