22 - Marc Bernal

Ideally, Bernal is slowly integrating back and honing his skills as Frenkie's backup/replacement.

This. Especially as Frenkie hasn't renewed and may we'll get out.

Road back is slow, look at Stefan Baljetic. Hardly played for Salzburg and then got second half season at lowly Palmas.

Back at Pool and not a minute yet.

Dude has been out for a year, yet to play his first minutes this season - he’s unhappy about what exactly? 90% of the rumors are BS…
Most likely it is.
All speculation started after Roony was registered as a B-team, even though he was introduced during the Gamper as a 1st team player, and then Bernal, who was a B-team player got promoted to 1st.

Maybe the club saw this as the best course of action as Bernal probably earns more than Roony. Easier to manage FFP this way. Who knows.

Than it should have been the other way around? Or am I missing something?

Yeah yeah, whatever - we have to many midfielders and almost all talent coming through knocking on the door for 1st team football are also CM/AM. Casado is alright - but we have Frenkie and Bernal for that position. Fermin is also alright - but we have Olmo, Raphinha/Torres and 2 players from B that look promising.
Sorry, but we should just cash in and keep promoting Masia kids - that is how we should operate... As of now I can't see Dro, Roony or Fernandez get any minutes other than if we're 5 goals up early Copa rounds. At least one of Fermin or Casado needs to go this winter...

Agree and said that before.

La Masia needs to be there to both help players reach the first team squad and to sell on to help finances.

If players like Casado and Fermin are getting to the first team level and back ups it starts to slow down the flow of that if others there behind him that are the next ones up.

The squad becomes stagnant and more of a closed door for those behind them.

Really it should be if you are 22/23 and not a starter then look to cash in and take the pure profit to improve team and/or give chances to next man up.

The likes of Casado is 4th choice in the one position he can play. It has to be a sale if funds come in that can improve team.

But again he has a core of fans that over rate him and will blast the board for selling him and for price would get.

Fermin is the same. You have fans who think Fermin should be going for 80-100m. No one is offering that.

Also, there might be and probably are players coming through who might be better than Casado or Fermin - but they won't get the chance. I liked Virgil a lot and I also liked what I saw from Dro - one is gone and the other won't get any minutes because we have 3-4 players for that 1 position.
We have to give Masia kids chances. Casado won't even reach Roberto levels and Fermin is a Temu Lampard.

Not necessarily. The speculation happened only because they introduced him as a 1st team player in Gamper, but later registered as the B-team, while Bernals was the opposite.
If they just didn't do the roony thingy, the journos wouldn't have any tea.

100% correct decision to loan Virgili. Still very very raw and the way he plays could see it being infuriating for 1st team players.

Very like Deulofeu of old in head down dribbling constantly and harder to fit as part of a system for better team at higher level.

Go out on loan and see if can develop and become level Barca would want back.

I don't disagree, if they aren't "all that" at 18-19 we loan them out and retain some economical incentives. It's all good, not everybody can be a Barca 1st team player.
