21 - Frenkie de Jong

He is obviously milking it. Hence the delay

Frenkie got himself in a great position. Near the end of his contract, playing the football of his life, he holds all the cards. The next contract is going to be huge, the Bartomeu contract will seem like a good deal. Either that or he leaves and gets a huge bonus and salary, win win for him. Just what Laporta and Deco said it won't happen a couple of months ago.

Laporta has no credibility with the constant lies.

He will get a nice signing on fee and wage bump. For us will be OK as with amortization his cap space will likely reduce anyways.

He will probably only get a bigger wage offer from three places anyways. PSG, Saudi obviously and Madrid.

We can rule two of those out, so it depends on how much he fancies Paris.

EPL don't pay as much as us, Madrid or PSG. But of course Man City could give him a timeshare in Abu Dhabi.

Ok here's the question. Pedri-Frenkie is the best double pivot in the world.

Question is, a la carte without budget, who would you pair them with at 10 to have the best trio?

PSG probably have a better spread, purely because their fullbacks are much better in pace and possession.
Fermin actually. Wirtz would be filthy. Musiala too soft but could fit in good. That madrid argentine looks like would fit with them good. But hopefully fermin recovers and finds his mojo so we dont have to look and spend stupid money

The way Fermin and Olmo play under Flick the AM/10 role is an attacking player that creates/crashes box for chances.

Best out there for that would be Alvarez currently would say and could be option at CF also although for me Barca need more height/power there in a team that already lacks it.

Could sell both of Fermin and Olmo and get him potentially if 1to1 and hope by end of season Dro has bulked up or Toni can step up.
