Secure is easy when you never take risks. Safe short passes as always

Was thinking the exact same thing when watching the game, this is why some said he was our best player against Madrid.

50% of his passes he’s wide open and has time to pick a pass and most of them is just are just everyday passes.

Wasn’t bad today though solid.

Olmo was much worse

Nah FDJ was better tonight.

Moved ball forward well and early all game.

Won ball back the most also.
Better than who? Moved ball forward well is what Pedri does better than him in all aspects. When Pedri plays those easy Frenkie passes people say he was basic and mediocre. He would be ashamed only playing like this and that’s why he takes risks with long balls and some through balls. It goes wrong more often but it’s to create and not chicken out. Frenkie gives him the ball because he’s afraid to do it himself. When it goes wrong then people say that Frenkie played more secure. What a world

  • Most passes.
  • Highest pass%
  • Most key passes.
  • Most passes into the final third.
  • Most progressing passing yds of any midfielder.
  • 2nd to Pedri with long balls with 5/5.
  • Most tackles
  • Most recoveries.
Can you name 1 key pass from him? I’m waiting. Maybe a easy pass between the lines and the other player who create the rest himself. I didn’t saw any pass that directly created anything. You did?

I would like to ser areal physical beast paired up with Pedri. De Jong 8s simply too soft for these games.

He gets held to a ridiculous standard these days where he’s micro analysed. Reality is he was always there to receive the ball and was getting it out to Yamal.
This has to be the at least the standard when you play as a Barca midfielder. That aspect they don’t even mention at a segunda team because it’s so normal.
