Pedri first half was still bad, sadly. It is a forgettable game outside the goal from him.

Kind of agree about the first half. Yes, kept possession, but he moved the ball around pretty slowly and with not much pace in his passes.

He's been having a great season, but his biggest weakness still is there. As soon as the pace of the game and the intensity go up past the usual levels, he struggles to play at that tempo and his instinct is to slow the game down to the level that suits him.

Was also evident vs Dortmund. Issue is, as the matches now are all do-or-die basically, this is the kind of adversity in terms of pressure you should expect playing in midfield. Not gonna lie, this is something that worries me should we make the CL final, vs both PSG and Arsenal's midfield. They are not as technical as ours maybe, but they have the intensity to bring the game on us like Madrid did in the 2nd half in midfield. Not sure if Inter can do it.

But I trust Flick basically to figure it out. Maybe sacrifice some of the offensive game, and have the forwards helping out more.

I hate to skip a phase ahead tbh. I don't like talking about finals before we win Semi

But, if we reach the final, we need to win the league clsssico and finish the league against Espanyol. 10 days rest could do wonders to some of our players before the finals.

Yeah, I know, I added that I don't think Inter has the intensity to take risks and push up and press us all over the field. That's why I think he'll be better vs Inter. But maybe they surprise us.

I can only say what I saw. Torres and Yamal our best offensive players, but it was the defense in the 2nd half and extra time that got us this win. Cubarsi, Kounde, Araujo, Inigo all had great games.

raphinha had maybe the most disappointing performance in a big game this season. Midfield lost control in the 2nd half. I can't praise any midfielder when Madrid boxed us in for the majority of the 2nd half mainly due to individual mistakes in midfield.

In fact, our team improved defensively after De Jong and Pedri got subbed. Their lack of intensity and physicality really showed last night imo.
