Pedri first half was still bad, sadly. It is a forgettable game outside the goal from him.
Kind of agree about the first half. Yes, kept possession, but he moved the ball around pretty slowly and with not much pace in his passes.
He's been having a great season, but his biggest weakness still is there. As soon as the pace of the game and the intensity go up past the usual levels, he struggles to play at that tempo and his instinct is to slow the game down to the level that suits him.
Was also evident vs Dortmund. Issue is, as the matches now are all do-or-die basically, this is the kind of adversity in terms of pressure you should expect playing in midfield. Not gonna lie, this is something that worries me should we make the CL final, vs both PSG and Arsenal's midfield. They are not as technical as ours maybe, but they have the intensity to bring the game on us like Madrid did in the 2nd half in midfield. Not sure if Inter can do it.
But I trust Flick basically to figure it out. Maybe sacrifice some of the offensive game, and have the forwards helping out more.
