It’s quite obvious no?

You wouldn’t change agents otherwise lol.
Yes but will it happen instantly and help with FFP now? Would think Frenkie had agreed the new contract and just need a signature.

There have also been reports that club only offers reduced salary.

It's obvious he will renew, but not when and under what conditions.

Makes sense. He's better than Raphinha, Pedri and Yamal so he gets more than them. :laporta2:

Would be happy to stay too if I was lavished like he is.

Isn't the whole point to stop paying him so much due to the deferred wages? As long as the deferred wages are spread out over a longer period AND he accepts even a small paycut to his normal wage, we are better off. The deferred wages arent just going to disappear, he is owed that money, expecting him to give it up is just stupid.

Let's see how it plays out.

Looks like a satisfactory conclusion to one of the last remaining bombshell contracts signed by Bartomeu as a final poison pill for the incoming board is finally in sight

Definitely the long game but might be the last one before the 1:1 is validated, significant milestone that took 4 years

Laporta gained from that contract also and never sought to regularise it either.

Then to try and force out when went back up.

The 1:1 is season dependent. Barca could get out of it now and be back in it next summer folk act like once back in that is it solved it isnt.

His annual salary on current contract works out to just under 15m a season. If the contract was to be 9m net then it is not far off keeping him on same annual salary and spreading the deferred salary remaining over 3 years.

Would guess the bonuses would be amended and harder to achieve.
