Don't think player has gotten enough praise for his MOTM performance and a reminder of how weaponized this attack becomes when an attacking FB can even become a catalyst from the center of the pitch like in the opening goal
Now imagine having 2 FBs that can add that - this summer, the LB/RB area of the pitch desperately requires an impact player that can not only do what Cancelo did with incredible efficiency on the opposite flank but link with Lamine on the right as well
I thought he was remarkable really, what he can add to this attack is not something Balde has yet to do for the first team despite his value. I seem to recall him having a similar performance on an earlier debut under Xavi in Montjuic - crazy, he certainly has performances like that in his locker but as his career has demonstrated tends to switch off too often. More the reason why it impressed me what he said post-match on the intensity and demands of Flick...and that he loves it. I think it seemed like a inconsequential addition in winter, on a free loan, but a lot of added value to try and squeeze out the best of what he has left
Clearly he has something to add, hopefully he can deliver it consistently but equally it applies needed pressure on Balde to raise his game
