This. Your safer playing football in a favela than ordering a taco in America these days.

One you get to shoot, the other you get shot.

Siiiiuuuu .
I remember reading about American cinema (theater) goers worrying about being shot in the back from someone in the seat behind.

I have been to the cinema almost 150 times in the last 2 and a half years so probably just as well I am not American. I'd have been shot by now going by law of averages, lol.

You're welcome

Why not just take most upper row?

I'd imagine it's something that would never cross your mind watching a movie too.

My biggest worry at a cinema as a kid was worrying I'd get popcorn stuck on my bum on the way out and a cute girl potentially seeing it.

My biggest worry now as an adult would be dropping a popcorn and realising I just lost 15p

Lol yeah it puts it into perspective.

But aye, good point. Imagine you're deeply immersed in Oppenheimer or Avatar The Way of Water or something, and someone shoots you from behind. Scary stuff because that's somewhere where you're actually least safe and vigilant.

Imagine arriving on the other side screaming, and having to find someone who had already seen it to explain the ending.

Disaster.

What's the reason for this design. Don't people's heads block the screen?
No idea

And no, not really, unless someone is incredibly tall. I have never really had a problem with it being a distraction. The screen is a little higher at the front anyway.

The floor isn't entirely flat, so the seats further back are a little higher. Those recliner seats were put in in 2019 when they refreshed the cinema. Before that it was normal seats and pretty cramped. When I went I would often put my feet between the seats in front if not occupied lol.

The seats are reserved - you have to pick what seat you want. You cannot just go in and choose any. But overall, I have never had a problem with the design. Can't speak for others.
