Plus he has much more end product than Doku once he beats a man or two.
With a capable 9 he bangs more goals too easily. Lewa has 2 assists entire season. He can't run for himself but sure as hell plays for himself and doesn't make anyone around him look better.

We're not in a position to dictate and even though I believe Lamine himself wouldn't demand anything crazy, Mendes definitely will as he understands the position

Yeah it's interesting and you can also see Doku has been figured out to a level or that's how I feel. Yamal is impossible to stop.
But I guess tough to compare when City just had terrible season and Barca a good one.

People know I am not a stats type obsessive, but I don't get the Doku hype.
His entire game seems tor revolve around fronting up a full-back on the left flank in or near the box, and beating him, never see him do anything in any other area of the park, never see him produce great passes or creativity. I get he's a winger but he's very one-dimensional. That would be fine but the thing is that when he does go past the full-back, he normally makes a mess of the cross or shot anyway.
But he's only born 2002 so I will cut him some slack for now.
