Talking of pace. Did anyone catch the LaLiga top speed stats at the end of the game versus Espanyol?

I think it was compared to Puado.

I missed it, but one thing is clear, he is blowing past players this second half of the season and leaving them in the dust.

I'm not talking about using a trick to create separation, and talking about when he is past them, they ain't getting back like a year ago.

Seems that as this kids muscular development is kicking in, that he has got that Dembele acceleration going (note that Dembele top speed isn't that special compared to his PSG teammates, but that first burst).

Yeah i notice this too. He is clearly way quicker than he was 1 year ago. After all he was 16 years old last year and now 17. His physicality has improved a lot.

Also i think the change of styleplay also is a factor. This season he becomes a dribbler while last season he wasn't.

The main thing is he survived the season where he played top matches every 3 days at 16/17 years old.

Di Marco couldn't defend vs Yamal because his lack of quickness. He has slow first few steps which is a death sentence vs Yamal. Top speed has nothing to do with it.

Carrera much more physical and stronger probably quicker too. Di Marco fairly weakish.

His game is without provocation on the pitch, words off of it is something else but winding up an adversary - I have never seen this
