Only reason I don't want Lamine to win it this year is that it might just be a bit too much a bit too early. Euros, la liga, world acclaim, massive new contract, all before he's 18. Add a balondor to that this year, I really don't know what that'll do to him mentally.

He may not immediately lose motivation next year, but it just feels like it might be for the best if he doesn't win it, because let's face it, he's going to win it sooner than later. The footballing meta is weak and there's nobody around that's a clear favourite.

You never know obviously, but he seem to be in a good place mentally. His comments after the Inter exit and Copa/Liga trophies suggest so.

Like he said he can never get tired of winning, it's the only thing he thinks about all the time.
