Well, in theory, one could. But if he has another elite season next season then that'd be the second one in a row and he'd more than have deserved it. It's not just about him being 17 but it's his first truly WC season. Ofc that doesn't preclude you from winning the balondor (but that's not the point I'm making anyway, hes been good enough objectively speaking).

That's 16m, 20m, 24m, 28m, 32m, 36m GROSS for each of the next 6 seasons.
Total: close to 160m Gross
And that's only the base, not the bonuses.

Must be one of the stupidest and self-destructive deals given ever by a club.

This club NEVER EVER learns. The idiot FAtporta learned nothing from Barto.
Soon to go bankrupt again, and that should run deeper

PS: Makes it even worse, that according to leaks Fatporta had to bend to Mendez because he 'failed' to satisfy a favor by getting one of his clients (Cancelo) last summer.

No such deals can ever be given to a 17 year old.
Ask yourself how much he will be getting by 23, by 26, by 29, and so on.

Messi wasn't getting that amount (relatively to the time) compared to market, and wage structure of the team, neither at 19, nor at 22, nor at 25.
Still, at some point, he got a 100m gross per season contract that bankrupted the club, together with other ridiculous contracts.

If it's Pol Ballus then he has no sources whatsoever at Barca or with any of the players.

He's never reported anything first. No exclusive. No inside information, and he wasn't even a Barcelona reporter until two years ago. He was with Man City.

Yeah most local sources I've seen reporting his numbers are no where as extreme as Pol Ballus is saying in his article.

He's a notorious shit stirrer as well.

Doesn't make sense for his base salary to increase by that much every season. That's the whole reason we put those performance related bonuses, to keep the fixed part in check.
