Well, in theory, one could. But if he has another elite season next season then that'd be the second one in a row and he'd more than have deserved it. It's not just about him being 17 but it's his first truly WC season. Ofc that doesn't preclude you from winning the balondor (but that's not the point I'm making anyway, hes been good enough objectively speaking).Next year you may say the same (before 19 instead).
David Bernabeu: Yamal's salary:
In NET terms, we are talking about six seasons, and he will receive: € 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 million for each season respectively.
• If we take the total amount and divide it by 6, then, according to my calculations, the average amount will be about € 24-25 million GROSS per season.
• Barcelona have included several bonuses in his contract, some of which will be easy to get, and others more difficult.
• Next season, he will not be the highest paid player on the team in terms of fixed salary, but with bonuses - yes, he will be.
In the sixth season, unless a new star emerges, he will actually be the highest paid.
SIIIIIIIIII
Pretty sure Birdy's numbers came from the Athletic article but they are unreliable when it comes to Barcelona. What's even the source? Cannot see that David Bernabeu reported anything like that on his X feed or on Sport.

Yeah most local sources I've seen reporting his numbers are no where as extreme as Pol Ballus is saying in his article. If it's Pol Ballus then he has no sources whatsoever at Barca or with any of the players.
He's never reported anything first. No exclusive. No inside information, and he wasn't even a Barcelona reporter until two years ago. He was with Man City.
English media hates Barcelona and they spew so much dated Anti-Barça propaganda so I’m not that surprisedPretty sure Birdy's numbers came from the Athletic article but they are unreliable when it comes to Barcelona.
