17 - Marc Casadó

If there is one player we should sell it's definitely Casado. We are overcrowded in midfield, FDJ will probably renew and Bernal will be ready to play in a month time. If we can get around 30 mil for him just SELL! Furthermore, without getting minutes this season his value will decrease significantly. It's perfect time to sell him now.

As I said earlier, if Nico went for 60m, Casado is easily the same price, if not more.

There is no sense of selling him at all.

Calma. It's one match. Others did poor too.
Guy is playing with a lot of pressure on his shoulders too.

He was chasing the ball far too much again and causing Barca to lose shape.

That first goal he as the most defensive midfielder should never be chasing the ball out to the RB area. Once he misses the tackle its a one two and his man is away down the line with Pedri scrambling to get back to area on edge of box Casado should be.

Also he doesnt take time on ball enough. Too often will give it to first man sees free and again can look good at times but it is not always helping Barca build a structure to control the game.

Suspected it in the first watch, confirmed on the 2nd, should have came on in the 2nd half for pedri, especially later on.

Game needed a risk taking pass from deep that he's more willing to try that any of our Midfielders.

No guarantee it would have worked, but it would have added something different, pedri was just off.

Ya didn't like Flick leaving him out. We still had one sub left.

Also, our main problem was the lack of intensity & pressing. Think Casado easily gives you that, yes we might have lost control a bit, but I think it was a worthwhile trade to gain that urgency and intensity in the midfield.

Both Pedri and Frenkie pass the ball forward better than Casado and if anything Pedri was trying too many elaborate things when the game needed more control.

Have also watched it back and Pedri was not as good as first thought due to the lack of simple build up to help control the game while his defensive effort was awful...how can he make 1 tackle/interception to Frenkies 12? He was jogging about one paced while Rayo passed it round him.

Casado offered nothing to come on and not what game needed as poorer than FDJ and Pedri at progressing the ball.

It would have meant moving Frenkie most likely who was by far Barcas best outfield player.

Had Gavi been on the bench he may have come on for Pedri for his workrate as much as anything and far better than Casado there obviously.

Or Gavi comes on for Olmo and Pedri gets pushed up a bit to try and get players more likely to keep ball on.

Very good game

Did what he did last season, flick puts him on after injuries, he takes the opportunity with both hands.

Casado pedri is a sexy midget Midfield.

I like that he's less fussy about forward passes than Pedri. Pedri a bit too considerate, too finicky tonight for me.

If you can break a line, just do it and see what happens. Don't need to think it two steps ahead every time.
