I think he is on really low wages till 2028. if someone doubles (or more) his salary he will accept to leave, for sure. He his underpaid, given his talent.
But not under 30 million. I rate bernal higher, but if he doesnt explode there is also de jong, gavi and many more new talents in midfield so we have to cash out.

The only position overstacked is the 10 with Olmo, Gavi and Fermin. Every other position has 2 players, exactly how it should be. But Olmo is a regular guest in the hospital and we don't know how Bernal will return from his injury, so Gavi might get minutes further back in the midfield as well.

Flick has all the tools right now to keep the first XI fresh for the crucial part of the season. We don't have squad corpses anymore, Flick can play and rotate all players without stomach pain.

Now that you mention it, if we were on good terms with Porto we would have done 10m for 50% of his rights and a re-purchase option of 40m. Meanwhile Porto have an option to buy another 30% of his rights for 5m.
