Simons has just passed his medical too.

Whether it happens or not, it is definitely something the club is negotiating with someone and considering though.

The club let's out alot of smoke but every now and then gives some hints.

Be it Mikail Faye being left out of pre season minutes.

Then Inigo not playing this pre season with Flick working other partnerships.

Now you have Flick experimenting with Raphi as AMC and Rashy on the left, then first sub being Olmo last game.

This is not a coincidence.

The plan was always probably,
-get Camp Nou approved,
-receive VIP seats money and return to 1:1.
-sign Rashford and Nico
-sell Fermin.

So apart from not having camp Nou, VIP seats sale and Nico, the good news is we might sell Fermin :lol:

Sad that there isnt any of these "hints" for a new CB signing. Which is of a higher necessity.

70 mil and over is fantastic business from the club.

Selling him and Casado for huge money would be the smart thing to do. They will never be more than backups at Barca, but will demand big wages down the line. We would then have another Sergi Roberto Situation. Backup with 10+ mil wages.

Almost all players are registered. In addition, in the worst case, we will be able to use the assets of the board of directors.

All our positions are staffed.
No idiot will go looking for a new CB now, because it is too late. Any CB will need a lot of time to get used to the peculiarities of our defense.


There is no rational reason to sell Fermin.

I swear, selling Gavi makes much more sense than selling Fermin.

Window closes on Monday, whatever happens would need to happen shortly to ensure it gets across the line

If it's a good fee, player is unsettled and it results in a defensive reinforcement by Monday? I'd be for it

He can be a good impact sub but he is very inconsistent also.

Dont think he added as much off bench as some make out last season.

It too until February until he got a goal or assist off the bench in the league and that was a game he was sent off shortly after v Sevilla. He then only got 1 goal off the bench after that although unlucky for effort chopped off v Real.

Off the bench in La Liga last season he got 1 goal and 1 assist as far as I can see.

In CL it was 1 goal off the bench Red Star.

Without looking back at his stats it felt like Olmo added a lot more from bench and helped turn games. Can barely think of one game Fermin did that really bar Sevilla when also got sent off.

He is 22 and consistency should come but the point is more about what he has done to date can get embelished a bit.

We should not spend big in winter, better to try for upamecano for free in summer. We cannot afford to spend big money
