16 - Fermín López

You gotta start Olmo in Milano regardless of how poor he was last night.

He's still a player with the X-factor that can unlock that defence and you would hope with Inter being scared and giving more attention to Lamine it will open up the game more for him and Raphinha.

If nothing is working then you consider bringing on Fermin in the second half, but you gotta back Olmo's superior ability and habit of stepping up at crucial moments as he has before for club and country.

Exactly. Olmo has the ability to unlock a match with a moment of finesse, an ability that Fermin just doesn't have.

If Lewandowski doesn't make it, we should just use the same team with Blade starting and Araujo on RB.

If we are 3 goals down by 70th minute then we are out. I fear Olmo is carrying some injury or simply can't handle the intensity of the game at this level. I rather have a player capable of running than Olmo who is playing like a p**sy
I am also in support of Fermin starting because I see olmo more as an impact player that have troubles being consistent for the whole 90 minutes even though he is very talented. What i disagree with is playing a Fermin for more than 45 minutes. You get nothing for those minutes other than headless running/hustling and missed scoring chances. The only upside to that is someone who can snap at the heels of the Inter midfielders more intensely than an Olmo would do. If that would help you "soften" Inter a bit by the end of the first half.

Olmo can then have 45 minutes to prove himself, not 20 minutes. You dont buy a 60m player for a 20 minutes show in one of your most important matches off the season.

Of course you should always sell if the price is ridiculous like Real did in the past with Casemiro 70mil. Then just accept of course. They would need to overpay even more for a young player though.

It will show in the summer with updated LFP cap, but I don't feel the club is desperate to sell players at this point. Frenkie's contract is still hanging in the air entering its last year, but given recent displays it's more likely for an agreement to be reached.

Olmo/Fermin should fight for a season more atleast to see which one wins out at 10.

Olmo has given no guarantees he can even stay fit, so plenty of minutes for Fermin.

Saying that Fermin would be a solid signing for United. Provided they reach a Nico fee and up, we should consider it but we would need a replacement. And a don't think La Masia is ready for 25/16, but could be wrong.

You're joking or you're drunk/high? Sure Olmo isn't fit some parts of the season, but Fermin is meh with some alright games. Fermin needs to be sold this summer, we should replenish from Masia.

We still need much more depth across the pitch, for any non key players we should be considering offers rationally. We are not desperate to sell, the smart move is just to always keep in mind improvements that could be made with money. 30-40m for Fermin would be a good deal. Maybe 20m with 50% sell on.

I would guess one of the valuable midfielders will be sold to provide us budget to improve the defense or attack.
