I don't want to sound cocky, but they had their chance to run away and not get squashed - we'll murder thenmat home even with some injuries on key players.

Yeah I'd be very surprised if you don't win by 2 goals or maybe 3 - Newcastle aren't great away and Barca are strong at home. They needed a lead to protect.

I don't know why they didn't just calm themselves down and play out the game. They kept attacking - Howe must be so scared of Camp Nou that he thought they needed a 2 goal lead minimum, lol. Which I'd agree with, tbh.
I think everybody his afraid of Camp Nou tbh. We're more than decent as long as we get our defense together and it worked tonight...

Definitely Barca are very strong at home, but that has always been the case, even in a still being worked on Camp Nou.

In saying that, there's a few teams I feel would have little fear of going there - Bayern look great right now, and Arsenal would fancy themselves to keep a clean sheet and steal it on set pieces. The latter could happen but obviously you cannot meet Bayern til the final and not play them at home, so a moot point.

I was highly critical of Flick after the Inter tie last year, as you maybe remember, so it will be interesting to see if he has learned lessons when the bigger games come (assuming get past Newcastle as never wanna count chickens). I do believe Barcelona can beat Arsenal if Barca click over the two legs, because I am one of those who suspects that Arsenal are benefiting from a poor standard in European football right now, rather than being an exceptionally elite team themselves by a usual high standard. But that potential tie could go either way. Arsenal having home advantage second leg if you both make it that far though is a big plus for them.

Arsenal are a shit and disgusting team but what they will do to us on set pieces alone is crazy

Inter scored 2 from corners on Montjuic and that's how they got the result in first leg. Arsenal over two legs will score at least 4-5 from corners and add to that a couple from open play so probably somewhere around 8 goals over two legs. Even with Yamal on his best it will be hard to deal with especially with them sitting in low block for rest of the time and playing their dirty game & time wasting

In theory yes, they could score that many, but it's unusual to score 5 goals from corners or free kicks over 2 games, even when you're as good at attacking them as Arsenal and as bad at defending them as Barca.

But I get your point. I'd be worried about their superior physicality too, as Barca have always (even in their best days) never liked playing negative, physical teams. Remember Mourinho's Chelsea (and after him), Inter and Real sides.

But hopefully Barca pump them if it comes to that as I have never liked Arsenal. Their fans are often as deluded as United's with a lesser level of recent success.

In other news, I hope you are well. I always enjoy talking football with you.
