14 - Marcus Rashford

I can assure you only one person "cough cou.. bird couhg cough.. " is expecting him to be a Harry Kane regen.
Most of us will be happy if he gets 15GA this season.
I am one of his bigger proponents, but even I don't expect him to get Ferran's GA of last season.

We needed a better backup than Ansu & Pau, and we got one. Thats the reason why people are happy.

He's the perfect player to bring off the bench and also start in some lesser games.

It's worth remembering too the utter dross Rashford was often playing with at United. With better footballers around him you would hope it also makes him better to an extent.

Honestly I think this guy can be even more effective at doing Raphinha's role from last season than Raphinha himself. Offensively that is. But, probably never going to be as good as Raphinha overall
You mean more effective than 59 G/A a season? So you expect him to break messi‘s record of 92 goals a year? :D

Raphi was eating big teams left and right last season, he wont be on that lvl this season.

And i dont think he is a stats merchant but his pace will massively improve the attacking play and other offense player will get more space with him on the pitch.

What if I told you stats can be attributed to patterns. Pedri>Yamal>Raphinha was a big pattern. Anyone who will make the run in behind was going to smash G/A's. Raphinha didn't just suddenly become good because he was some hidden talent. He became good stat wise because Flick is a offensive genius. Further evidence would be Ferran Torres.

I agree with this. Raphina clearly had talent at Leeds United but I never thought for a moment he could do what he did last season. He really wasn't that good for Leeds. He would have 1 great game and 3 average ones.

He's playing with much better players, while Flick deserves a hell of a lot of credit. No reason at all why he couldn't do something similar with Rashford.

Rashford was loaned to play the LW.

Striker already has the tractor and Torres.

Flick wasting his imagination triple stacking tractor, Torres and Rashford at the striker.

Rashford could be playing as a striker against Mallorca with Lewandowski injured and Ferran tired!
