14 - Marcus Rashford

No. For that cost, we can do more bang for buck.

Not saying Rashford is not a huge upgrade on likes of Ansu, but... our resources allocation is limited and has to be done in a smart way.
Speaking of Ansu, he has also shown progress in Monaco and is not struggling with injuries so much anymore, even in a more physical league

Like you say Rashford is probably better right now but I think Ansu can help as well only if his injury problems are gone

Maybe would not be bad idea to have him as Rapha backup next season and focus on other positions

I flipped them on FIFA 26.

Worked out well for me.

Football manager is real life

Fati has shown very little in France and cant even get regular minutes for a poor Monaco side.

Hasnt scored or assisted for 9 or 10 games and they dont want to sign him currently despite low fee agreed.

It is a dead squad space and waste of salary to have him.

Would be bettr with him told will go to stand as offers nothing of note.

Something happened when the new manager arrived. He was pretty good with Hitter, was voted Monaco's best player at beginning of the season

For me the most important thing is he's not suffering any injury. It's december and he's still injury free, couldn't go 2 weeks without one at Barça. For players of that quality it's main problem. Otherwise they can always contribute off the bench

His last two seasons at Barca combined he missed about 10 league games with injury and was not injured much the season in between at Brighton eirther.

He just wasnt good enough to play more.

Kinda fell from limelight with Raphinha return but that was expected.
Still one of our best contributors and will surely do us good until the end.

People forget too fast, sadly.

It is not either him or Raphina.
Tha's a fake dilemma

They should (and soon will) play together.
Barca's strongest XI involves both, Rashford as LW, and Raphina as AM with freedom to drift either side and make lethal moves off the ball

PS: My concern with RAshy is defensive work. The minutes he played against Atleti he showed tremendous improvement on that front. Let's see

Raphinha as AM already tried by Flick and it didn’t work out. Also Balde has chemistry with Raphinha, not the same with Rashford

Well, since Lewa sucks lately Rashy can come in handy in his spot. We should actually never start Lewa in away CL games.

Cant see him being signed.

Raphinha is clear at LW and should stay there as much as possible.

Dont think it should be changed at weekend either. Would rather Raph at LW and keep that left hand side that is working a lot better to take pressure off the opposition setting traps to man mark midfield and send balls to full backs early.

Good signing.. if a bit expensive for more FFP space gone on players with nothing at end of it.

Showed a proper defensive mindset when he came on vs AM. Good to see. If he does that constantly and works as hard off the ball I'd be more than welcome to take him on at half the 40m quoted price. Big if though.

He has a tendency to drift off usually. Under no circumstances do we need or want to accommodate that behavior.

He needs to understand that the stars we made these concessions about were of ultra elite type, best in the world BD potential, way above his capabilities or talent.

I don't remember Raphina as AM.

Of course it could work, with Raphina being given freedom to drift around.
I'm sure he would do great as a free roaming #9...

----------Raphinha--------
Rashy---Injurlmo----GangGang

Not bad. But Flick won't put Lewa in the corner - but he should, especially first half away CL games. Lewa does fuck all in those and Flick needs to acknowledge and fix that. We're slow out of the starting blocks to establish our gameplan, therefor we need pressing from the start - Lewa just disappears totally in the first half, like we're playing with 10 men.
