We're far from any decision on whether we should sign him or not, but if we do then he'll have to significantly lower his salary.

If not then goodbye. The next choice is returning to Manchester which probably isn't tempting for him

Did anybody ever is the better question? Regarding to Catalan media, liers from the club and naive fans everybody does. I just wonder how we end up with salaries like we did if that is the case?

And what is the current situation of Rashford? He's got many options from returning to United (Amorim won't be there for long) to many other EPL clubs who would be interested and can pay his ridiculous salary, Saudi, MLS, clubs from Serie A if he goes on another loan... He 100% won't reduce his salary just as he didn't for the loan, he's getting 14 mil + bonuses that will probably get him his full salary that he had at United in the end, don't be so naive. The same naive people wrote the whole summer that Rashford is welcome for a small salary on loan, in the end one season of Rashford will cost us 20+ mil, cheap right?

Currently he gets 14m gross. He was getting 18-9m gross at UTD
I would say a fixed base salary of 12m gross, with bonuses up to 6-8m gross would be a good offer for both parties.

PS: For context, Lamine has a new contract of around 16m gross base, and 10m gross bonuses, and Fatporta's intention is this to be the highest contract at the club

Bonuses exists even if you ignore them, he's not getting only 14 gross now and for sure he won't sign any long term contract for less which would mean he would earn more than Lamine. That is absurd and should never happen but knowing Laporta and Deco it could.

Evidently, he will have to adjust to our current wage structure, which he will.

All these bums that don't make it at United are tapping into the same narrative that the environment wasn't right for them.
Reality is they won't ever make it at the top level for a sustained period of time.
