Nobody feels insulted by constructive criticism but you are being irrational. Look at that twitter post again. The guy didn't say anywhere that Lamine will become the winger with most goals in a season. Just listed some of the big name wingers he could overtake in that regard, and you started listing all the wingers he won't overtake as a response. I'd say that's what really classifies as insecurity

Who cares about all of these useless statistics, as long as he is playing well that is what matters at the end of the day not these useless statistics and awards. Hopefully he will be this inspired in the coming games against Atletico Madrid and Newcastle.

Lamine doing good isn't an attack to anyone, especially when he himself isn't bringing up these statistic or comparisons. From what I have seen he is actually always shooting downs any attempts by journos to compare him to some ex player.

I personally was surprised he was that close to some of those all time greats already when goalscoring clearly isn't even his strongest suit. Kid has crazy potential and he is showing that. I can't wait to see where we are at in few years with him if he progresses as expected.

That touch over the defenders foot is ridiculous.

For most players would think didnt mean it but he does it so often.

Well he clearly isn't dumb either. Despite his father being seemingly an idiot, Lamine has been taught well to care about family already at young age and I'm sure there are many smart teachers in La Masia who has been teaching him before he hit puberty and now the older players and coaching staff will give him a good example how to be a model citizen.

He is a lot smarter and more mature than your average 18yo, not even a debate.

It’s a “chop” so ball stops going in direction of defender and defender won’t get to it before lamine. Many times ball will jump up and here it now looks like as if was supposed to go over foot of defender due to lamine last effort reaching it and timing of the defender.

Loved his performance. Love the player. Always believed in him. BUT ......

we need to see more variety in his finishing if he is going to be the all time great we all hope he becomes. Because at the moment the curler to the far post is all he has in his locker and that alone is not going to be enough to sustain 30 goals a season.

We need to see rounding the goalkeeper, chipping the goalkeeper and most importantly of all, the shaping of curling to the far corner and then whipping it into the near post at the last second. That ability alone gave Leo an extra 10-15 goals a season because the goalkeepers weren't sure which side he was going to go.

I know people will say he is young etc, but he's not really attempted these types of finishes yet, and it's been a year or so of waiting for them. Can still be a great player without them ( Robben ) but he has the ability to be more than great with them.

It’s simply to not lose possession so have to put in this touch so can keep possession. Ball usually jumps when done so.

I stand by what I said: Lamine and defender timing now make it look as if put in that touch so make jump over foot of defender.

Maybe cause of lamine build he had other instances where looks like this.
