Had plenty of those games last season, this one nor any other games this season gave me that vibe, sadly. Fair enough that his finishing will never even be the equivalent of a Temu version of Messi, and boy is he far from even that right now, but even the trademark curlers are gone for the time being. He is more like a Fabregas/Özil figure right now, nothing like Messi.
he will not be messi, that much is obvious. but he is still a really young, really good player who actually needs less social media and more training.

I agree. I meant in terms of feeling, similar to times in the past where the team was lost and the only hope was to give the ball to Leo and see what happens.

In this game he had a pretty good curler in 2nd half but GK saved it well

”We are Barça and we always have to win. But we’re already thinking about the next league match. It’s a very difficult pitch. It’s hard to win when you concede three goals. That’s what we need to improve,” he said.
”I tried my best. It was a very quick play, and Fermín backheeled it to me. Well, I’m sad we couldn’t get the win. Let’s hope for next time.
”There’s been a lot of talk about my pubalgia and that I was sad. It was all lies. I’m trying to get back to work and play at this level, which is how I feel best and enjoy myself the most.
”I don’t think it’s a coincidence if they boo you. If they boo me, it’s because they know I do my job well on the field. I don’t worry about it.”

The Brugge fans booed them because they felt robbed of a win. Literally couldn't give a shit about what Barca did on the pitch.
If we had won 4-0 like Bayern the stadium would have been dead silent.

they weren't robbed though. there was no penalty, on the contrary, its the attackers foul. and on the keeper he clearly gets his leg and non of the ball.
they have every right to boo and try to steer the refferee, that's the advantage of home games.

This is the kind of goal that I want to see for him. Combine with players, one-twos, dribbling in the area... Not always dribbling at the touchline, spamming crosses and shots from a distance.

He has nobody to play with.

Even at 50-60% he's by far the best player of that yesterday's team.

Yes I know, it's really sad how bad this team is in technical terms. Only Pedri and Yamal are capable of playing like that (and Pedri is usually too far from Yamal to do it) while Messi was surrounded with almost an entire team that was flawless technically. We went from the most technical team in history to Koundes, Lewas and Rashfords who can't control the ball, let alone play a one two with Yamal.
