10 - Lamine Yamal

When professional athletes get to the level of playing for Madrid or Barca, players talking before games has nothing to do with their motivation.

These are professionals of a very high level, some player verbalising before a game doesn't change anything, players at this level are already motivated.

People are trying to focus on the mental aspect and highlight that Yamal has a bad attitude, but in reality, we haven't seen any evidence to indicate he is actually unprofessional (bad physical shape, not training properly, not able to run etc).

I think its just that he hasn't learnt how to influence the game when he doesn't have the ball. He is a player who relies on having the ball to feet and who wants to take many touches, and he is brilliant at that, but when he doesn't, his off ball movement and one touch play is lacking.

This is something which can come with experience and coaching. He should become a goal threat also with his off ball movement and not just his dribbling, this is the reason why, for now, he doesn't score as many goals as he should. One of the things that the world class wingers had historically and have to score goals is their off ball movement. Salah, Son, Sterling, CR7, Mbappe etc.

When he learns this he will be one of the greatest of all time.

Lost me at the start "players talking has nothing to do with motivation". Numerous times even Messi admitted that some comments served him as extra motivation.

If his injury is long term/ complicated, it really was a low IQ move by him to play for Spain while on painkillers.

Nothing I’ve seen him since May 2025 strikes me as him being mature/ able to handle the fame.

Needs to buckle down and watch Messi videos on repeat on how to be media savvy despite having the achievements that he does.

Barca lost not because of injuries, lack of depth, form... But because Yamal motivated RM

GTFO of here.

Funny guy, if you believe the dumb words of Yamal didn’t have any effect on Madrid at all your just delusional just like the majority of the Barca fans on this forum.

You are all dick riding this 18 year old kid who was clearly in the wrong.
