Anyway, I'm very happy for next season. And I have big hopes. All of the amigos are efectivelly done with. Stegen was the last one of the bunch as far as I'm concerned. He was the one Amigo that somehow infiltrated this select group while never proving himself.

May be wrong, but I don't we have a single main player left from the 2010s.

Why would he need a reason? In case he wants to end his career, he’s got his contract, he’s free to stay.
Public perception. Say he wanted to cash in on contract, without wanting people to question his ambition? He now can.

@Joan It’s happening. Barcelona prolly told him he likely lost his starting position and they are moving on. Now Ter will try to give off impression that after surgery things will be resolved.

Tebas will take this and run with it.

It's clear he did this to fuck the club who made him rich and famous. He was overpaid for 10 years, always had a backing of the club, he chose his coaches, got the captain armband, got to lift the trophies he didn't contribute to...Now he wants to hurt the club because the club bought another goalkeeper after it's clear he became a cripple?

What a piece of shit, the worst since Figo.
Tebas that imbecile can't run for shit, again this isn't something Stegen "decides"...
Anyway, fuck him - we all knew he would fuck us over. Like I said in a previous post, this isn't something between Stegen and Tebas - people need to chill the fuck out!

And yet there are still some people who defend him, even taking it personal when you joke about his wife leaving him.

Biggest piece of shit in the club, got rid of Bravo with politics, and now tries to do the same with Garcia. He knows when he is inferior, and then starts playing the political game, even though he "loves" the club, and is the captain.

Hope even if his plan suceeds, that he never steps on the Barca pitch ever again. Give Pena the #1, and strip him of his captain armband, let him rot till his contract is over.

Real Captains know when to step down. Xavi, Iniesta etc. class (their playing career).

One of the most egoistical people this club signed

We want to replace you, okay, what's the problem? You had 2 major injuries in 2 seasons. Even if you believe you can have a world class season, which is absolute delusion, you need to have understanding for people at the club and say okay sign somebody else and I will leave

For long term signings you need to look not just at the player but also the person. I hope we don't make such mistakes again. Cristiano level of egoism, just the difference Cristiano actually had the ability to back it up this guy is wank yet he still wants everybody to believe he is the best

Joan for me seems like a humble guy, I hope I'm not mistaken here. If so then that's already a huge bonus compared to Ter Stegen

The Barça medical staff put the recovery time for Ter Stegen's surgery at between 4-5 months, instead of the 3 months stated by the German in his statement. He will require a longer recovery because of the chronic nature of the injury. RAC1

Right, it certainly has nothing to do with LaLiga's rule of registering a new player for 80% of the injured player's salary, if the injury is 4 months or longer

I know that back problems can be a bitch to deal with. Just when you think you're back, the back disagrees. I'd say it's a minimum of 4 months out, and those issues based on my experience tend to happen every year. You never get rid of back problems for good.

It's probably closer to the Barcelona medical staff advise tbf, once you account for recovery and getting match fit.

Obviously the elephant in the room is why you can't fuckin just de-register a player that you no longer require, seeing as you can sign a player and not register.

I really hope his "3 months" statement was just a mistake and not an intentional malicious act against the club. In any case, LaLiga will listen to the doctors, not ter Stegen about the length of his recovery.
But who knows what Tebas might do, maybe send his own doctor to confirm only a 3 month recovery time, which would deny Barca the rule of registering a player for MAtS salary.
