1 - Marc-Andre ter Stegen

So Stegen has Catalan media in his pocket while club knows nothing about. Yeah pretty much believable.

PS: same club that ran smearing campaigns against their biggest players, trough the same press
This guy clearly doesn't understand how press works. If they cooperate with the club they don't have to tell them stegen leaked any info. And like, why the fuck would they

people just projecting imo. People don’t like Ter Stegen and want him to be the leak. Convenient that way.
Parallel to club's drastic change of attitude towards Ter Stegen was news that they found out who was leaking the info

Coincidence? Idk. Especially if you consider how much the guy was protected over the years, being german and having nothing to do with catalonia

He wouldn't last a season or two at Bayern or Real. They weed out feauds real quick. At Barça it takes a decade 🤣.
If Xavi was here the terrorist would still be at it.

1. Why does him being german and nothing to do with Catalonia makes it more likely that he is the leak?

2. I remember the report about the club finding out who the leak was. Remember how it never specified it being a player.
So could have been a staff member
Could also been Ansu or Pablo Torre if we are going by players that were put in a bad situation.

3. I feel like with the whole personal drama ter stegen has gone through it makes it less likely it was him. A pillar of stability in his life was removed(family). Usually a person doesn’t then go on risking to lose another(his job at Barca.) To the contrary, they will do their best not to lose it. If he decided to being a leak, would be a bad time to do so.

Not saying it wasn’t him. Just don’t understand how some here can be so sure already. There are many other candidates.

I want him gone. But would reserve judgment as to who was the perpetrator.

Have to wonder if it was Stegen that was the mole.
@Alik

How reliable was SER again? Can’t remember.

Because he has a valid contract. :D No one can get rid of a player under contract so easily and calling him names won't change a thing. The only thing that can force him to go is his ambition to be a starting GK for Germany during the next WC.

As much as I wanted Mats out, signing Joan while we still have him under current and renewed Tek.

Wasn't the smartest thing in the world for a club that's operating on the edge with registrations.

In a world where we don't need to move players to register others it would be cool, but all our players and their agents know out situation, which is why moving players on his so difficult and everyone wants the house before the fucking league.

Which is why I respect pique and Xavi, the only two to leave any money on the table.

Yeah, but on the other hand if we had waited for Stegen to move out then Joan may have moved elsewhere. While Stegen would be even more inclined to wait it if the signing relied on his exit.

So all in all getting Joan early was good for those reasons. To show that we have a new number one and that Stegen will not play if he stays.

FFP wise from what I understand, we are inside 1:1 with the signing of Joan, but for Nico need exits. So that's where the issue of the 3/4 goalkeepers comes into play. IIRC we need about 30m for Nico. Not much for a normal market operating club or if we were inside the PL.

Anyways, Tek's contract expires in a few days. So if we don't renew him before that, then signing him as a free agent will negatively affect our FFP more than if we renew him from an existing contract. Personally we don't really need to keep Tek and going with Joan/MaTS wouldn't be the worst situation and won't be the huge FFP hit as the papers claim.

As said otherwise, the bigger problem than FFP would be whether Stegs can sit tight on the bench and not pressure Joan through his media connections. If they fear this sporting and character issue, then just hurry up and confirm Teks renewal.

The fact that this lad waited for a decade to be German NT's no. 1 and is now binning it by camping at Barca for money is summing him up perfectly.

If he was indeed the mole in the dressing room, I think there should be some NDA's in the contract and should at least be penalized.

Calling him names might not change things, but knocking his ass out in public definitely will.

I pray I run into him one day
