I have to say that Deco is winning me over. How he handled MATS amd Garcia situation was unexpected and beautiful. Know kick him out and sign Nico and you got a new fan.

It was inevitable that we were going to have to find a number 1 sooner or later, and what happened this season just ended up speeding up the process.

Flick has seen him enough with Germany and here. He gave him a couple of chances after his injury and I think especially after the Villarreal game, I have to believe Flick thought, "Yeah, this guy is not good enough anymore."

There's going to be a reset button situation at the start of the season, but I think Flick for all intents and purposes, already made up his mind with the GK spot at least. Garcia will almost certainly be his number 1.

He may not be in charge of transfers and targets but he and Deco are almost certainly lockstep in figuring out what needed to be done.
