He was deliberately trying to "shine" or standout, instead of letting it happen organically as he usually does. Fortunately for him, he demands a lot of himself so he shifted mentality and tried to make up his mistakes. Which he succeed at.

He's very mature for his age, can't ask more from him. It's normal that the "star" image get to him somewhat.

I saw the replay of the goal multiple times now. It's actually very difficult to score from that position on his weaker foot, but he made it look very casual. His momentum was going to the right, he was speeding quite fast with the ball, in fact it didn't even really look like he had full balance of his body when he hit that shot.... and the fact he got it at the top netting.
