They have nowhere near 1 billion fans and they dont claim it themselves.

The 'surveys' they used to make huge fan followings were pulled apart at the time.

Agreed, I'd say worldwide Barca and Real definitely have more supporters. Plus with the Argentine and Brazilian clubs like River Plate, Boca, Palmeiras, Flamengo etc it's hard to quantify the level of european football - Barca and Real apart - shown in those countries on a regular basis. As you know there are South American ex-pats across the world in North America, Latin countries and caribbean of course.

He's not an elite defender but he's made to look much worse than he is by how often that midfield leaves him exposed. He and Shaw were almost flawless at the Euros, yet clown mode at United, and it's not like Southgate is a tactical genius or anything.
