This will be Xavi's system, an asymmetric 4-3-3:

a 4-3-3 on paper, and probably in set defense.
But, on the ball, which is most of the times as we will have a lot of possession,
it will asymmetrically become more of a 3-5-2,
with the RB (Kounde or Araujo) tucking in to form almost a 3 atb, the LB (alba or Alonso) released up the pitch,
the RW (Dembele or Raphinia) always out wide giving width, and the LW (Ansu or Ferran) making diagonal runs centrally close to the CF

If we keep Aubameyang as cover for CF and LW and also keep Pjanic as cover for Busqs

We basically have TWO flaming great teams !!

Look like there will be any fix for midfield. Xavi probably will rely on his attack.

Watch City's game and it is day and night.

Watching yesterday's game, there is another confirmation that we play 3-5-2 when having the ball.
If you notice yesterday the RW (Dembele) was almost in line with the advanced LB (Balde) and as wide as possible,
while the LW (Raphinia) more centrally and more advanced than RW

I can see Kounde being the RB off the ball, RCB on the ball,
Araujo the CB
and one of Eric or Christensen being the CB/LCB

Why are Dembele/Raphinha going out of the pitch

From the article:

Perhaps the most underrated figure in last season’s title race, however, was the man at the other end: Courtois. Although he received untold plaudits for his performance in the Champions League final, the head-to-head of performances between Courtois and Marc-Andr? ter Stegen – the goalkeepers for the top two sides last term – were at the two opposite ends of the spectrum.

According to Opta’s expected goals on target (xGOT) data, ter Stegen conceded roughly four more goals than the quality of shots on target faced would suggest. For goalkeepers who played at least half of available minutes last term, this was the fourth-worst record in La Liga. Meanwhile, Thibaut Courtois conceded four fewer goals than expected by the same measure – the second-best rate in La Liga.

Article is spot on. Basically says we were a match for Madrid post Koeman sacking in terms of output, but deficiencies in attack and goalkeeper burned us. Basically Benz and Courtois were the main difference.
