Here is my take. I think the club made a proposal, it was rejected. Now Gavi is waiting for a new offer, which will come sometime in the near future.

Reason for the hold up is Tebas? corrupt and bureaucratic FFP rules.

he is a nice prospect, but he is still 17. He should be compensated accordingly. Everyone knows that! His agent should receive exactly 0 euro from the club.

I hope he renews on fair terms.

Everyone likes him because he gives 100% in every game he plays. I sincerely hope he will come to his mind and renew his contract soon.
