    Daniel Alves

Maicon might've lost his flair but he is still solid defensively and can provide lethal crosses. For this Brazil side I would always pick Maicon over Alves simply because Marcelo is already pushing forward and you don't want two such offensive minded FB's on the field. The thing that makes...

    QF: France - Germany 0-1

I think both teams will be scared to attack so we might see a defensive game. I just hope it's not a snoozefest.

    Tennis

This is Federer's chance to retire with style. Much like Sampras in 2002, Federer can really proclaim his spot as the GOAT if he wins this tournament and calls it quits. He will go out on a high while finishing with 18 grand slams. He will be turning 33 later this year. That's old for tennis...

Great keeper. If it's one position that USA produces a lot of talent in, it's the GK position.

    USA

I think it was a bad decision by Klinsmann to leave Donovan out. He is absolutely vital to their creativity up front and in the middle. They essentially went full-strength mode in this WC. A little bit more creativity and technical ability (provided by Donovan) would've done wonders to this team.

    2014 World Cup General Chat

I don't think Belgium is as organized defensively as what Switzerland displayed today. I can see Argentina squeezing by 1-0 or 2-1. The Brazil-Colombia match is anyone's tie IMO. Colombia are vastly underrated and their FB's could destroy Marcelo and Alves. France vs Germany... I'm gonna out...

    Round of 16: Belgium - USA - Tuesday 01/07/2014

USA winning tomorrow would be a sign of the nation's moral decay.

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

This might be a stupid question but how is it that a lot of clubs start with transfers even before the transfer window is open? Do they just reach an agreement and decide to make it official when the transfer window is open? I'm talking about the deals like Rakitic, Cesc, and Bravo. Did they...

    2014 World Cup General Chat

It has really been an exciting world cup. I remember falling asleep for nearly every match during the catastrophe that was South Africa 2010.

#4 will forever be reserved to the legend that is Marquez.

Round of 16: Costa Rica - Greece - Sunday 29/06/2014

They still had 4 at the back when Campbell was the only player near the middle of the pitch. I don't know why you would need 4 players to defend one. Some strange decisions by Greece during the OT.

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

James is not a realistic target and he does not fit a 4-3-3 style of Barca since he's an AM. The stupid moron management needs to focus on getting a CB. You would think Puyol would influence Zubi to get a CB now that he has an administrative role...

    Arjen Robben

To be COMPLETELY UNBIASED, it's a boneheaded play by Marquez. Can't believe the media is so focused on this. He puts his foot through the player, Robben's already moving to that side before Marquez puts his foot there. Why the hell would you put your foot across the player in the 91st minute...

    Toni Kroos

Seems strange for him to go to RM. Don't they already have Isco and Illaramendi sitting on the bench? Are they trying to make a whole bench of midfielders?

    Xavi Hernández

I would gladly go to an LA Galaxy vs New York game if he goes to NY. Please Xavi! Go to NY!

Round of 16: Costa Rica - Greece - Sunday 29/06/2014

Navas :worthy: I thought surely Campbell would miss since he looked so dead tired in OT. Damn great penalty shootout. Some of the most world class penalties I've seen.

    Arjen Robben

I just saw the replay and it's still a pen to me. I think Robben might've put his foot under Marquez to get it though. It's A PEN THOUGH. That would be a pen anyday in La Liga.
