    England

'Pretty universally accepted he's a terrible manager with 0 tactics. He doesn't get anything out of the players strengths.' Yes, but if they're as good as hyped he shouldn't drag them fully down either. Come on, it's obvious that the likes of Olmo, Ruiz, Rodri, Zubimendi are more technically...

    England

Yeah, they keep talking like their players are superstars, and everyone else's are inferior, but that is PL hype. Technically a lot of them are mediocre. There's no rhyme or reason to rate Mainoo and Rice over Ruiz and Olmo outside of Arsenal and Man U hype, Guehi over Le Normand, Bellingham...

    He's resigned.

Which player in his prime (active or retired) would fit prime Barca the most?

REM. To be fair, 'Man on the Moon' suits Cristiano down to the ground given his delusions :lamine:

Do you play football? At any level

Nah it's nothing as bad as that. It's more issues of bending down and getting up. For now at least, it doesn't hurt much if at all in a stationary position or when walking. Probably the way I play - lots of twists and turns, direction changes. Plus many years of playing without warming up maybe.

    Copa América 2024

He will always be individually better than everyone, because he's Messi and one of the two most talented players of all time, in my opinion. The thing is that his ageing and being way past prime means he can no longer showcase that talent to its fullest, and allows less talented but younger and...

    Copa América 2024

Yeah, the exception being of course when he won the World Cup, then moved to Miami. He wasn't particularly special for PSG that season, and he did well at Miami at a poorer level than Europe. However, the World Cup takes precedence and he was brilliant in it, hence still deserved the award. He...

    Copa América 2024

Rodri feels like the most deserving contender. He's been consistently brilliant at club level, and was the top man in a team that successfully won an international tournament too. His impact for Man City and Spain clearly elevates those teams to what they are not quite when he isn't playing (yes...

    Jude Bellingham

It's also a maybe very pedantic argument. It's an ideological and stylistic preference debate. Whether he's a good player, or excellent (in the context of this generation), my overall contention is that he is nowhere near the all-time great, 'contender to dethrone Zidane' level talent he has...

    Jude Bellingham

Agree, you have good insight. As for bold, I made the same point. El Gato used that as justification for him being an 'excellent midfielder', but that's not what a midfielder is tasked with. Rodri controls games, passes, cuts off passing lanes, that's a midfielder. This isn't just about...

    Negative Thinking Cules

To be fair, they were eliminated against Bayern (as I predicted when many were being fooled by 'form' in their own leagues) and as soon as Man City got serious they easily started accumulating more points than Arsenal. You know I like you and respect your opinion, but I respectfully disagree...

    10 - Lamine Yamal

He's obviously not a Maradona or Messi level talent, I think most people know that. Who the fuck is that level of talent? One player every 50 years. He can still be one of if not the best player in the world though, and an all-time great. There's so much to do for that to happen, but it's his...

    Jude Bellingham

You can tell from watching him that - outside the goals - he just isn't that good a footballer. He's technically average and got dominated by the Spaniards too, as anyone with a clue knew he would. I am not a Barca fan either. You're definitely far from objective though with your 'he's far more...

    Jude Bellingham

Whatever. I am not falling into your mind games any more. Goodbye.

    Jude Bellingham

Frankly, the fact you are even denying he and England got passed off the park last night would highlight the twilight zone mind control PR spin that exists around this individual. We all watched it happen you maniac. If you are impressed by how he played last night then that further solidifies...

    Jude Bellingham

I have said it and many have said it. The guy is in the mould of Gerrard - moments, physicality, but lacking the ability to control games, play one and two touch and in tight spaces. It's the difference between English teams and Spanish teams generally. It sounds simplistic but it boils down...

    Jude Bellingham

Stats are often a poor way to rate a player. They lack context. Trust your eyes too. So now he's gone from playing well to 'didn't play that poorly'. He's a good player. Just admit he was inferior to the Spanish midfielders last night. I don't rate Rice and I suspect Mainoo is as overhyped as...
  18. Maradona37

    Jude Bellingham

Good attempts at mind control, but we all watched the game and you're talking bollocks. If you cannot acknowledge when he plays poorly or averagely then you are just a fanboy. He and the rest of them were dominated by Spain, end of. I am going offline as I have better things to do than...

    Jude Bellingham

Yeah the gaslighting around Bellingham is rather pathetic. He's a good player. He isn't special.
  20. Maradona37

    Jude Bellingham

Again proving my point he's a moments player - cheers. Shame he got passed off the park for 98 percent of the game. You seem to think assists make people great midfielders - they don't. He's a forward masquerading as a midfielder. Midfield is what Kroos, Xavi, Modric do. Control and set the...
