    Penal Madrid

If we're extremely lucky, perhaps a surprising last minute steal for Neymar  But in reality I'm guessing it'll be Bale+ a new manager. If Bale comes, Jese is definitely going to leave. There is no way he'd get the chance to break into the Real Madrid team with Cristiano and Bale dominating...

    Xavi Hernández

Many false/incorrect assumptions you're making there. First off Messi's injury problems were fixed by a combination of dietary changes as well as exercise regimen and a daily plan. He has a medical trainer with him at all times (even during Argentina games) and has an extensive stretching and...

    Mario Gotze

As a child, yes. Same as how when Iniesta was young he said that he dreamt of playing for Real Madrid. However as a player of the club he should be loyal to them and respect the club enough not to betray them for his own personal desires. Wanting to further his career is one thing, but it's...

    Mario Gotze

Don't just address one small part of the argument to refute completely. Taking one's career to the next level is understandable, a transfer that countless players make. However what Gotze did was betray his boyhood club, move to their biggest rivals, and became a pawn in re-monopolizing the...

    Pedro Rodriguez

I'd like to see how involved he is in attack when Montoya plays and he has the flank free to himself. If he still remains invisible then it's a matter of him just being unwilling to try to be involved.

Transfers and Rumours - old thread

Welcome to the forum! :) I agree that changes have to be made and that includes transfers, but the main focus should be to fix what we have and then look for outside help on what we are lacking. I'd say the priority are to fix the vital issue of not pressing and getting complacent as well as...

Ojamaa (Motherwell): "Every team needs a player like Michael (Higdon) who is in the box when you need him to be. Barça could do with Higgy!" Make it happen.

    Mario Gotze

Still a pretty selfish way to think. He knew that moving to their biggest rivals was not only an asshole move to the club that raised him, but a factor in making the Bundesliga a monopoly. He gave up everything that the coaches, fans, players, and board did for him just to gloryhunt at Bayern...

FC Barcelona: Win of the youth system

Well yeah he's young so I wouldn't expect much more. He'll improve a LOT more as he gets busted down by 1st division defenders and has to adapt greatly to become more efficient. I want to see him getting more 1st team time as the league wraps up, maybe he'll even score his first league goal.

    Serie A 2012/2013

Not that I know of He wasn't at Barca for long and has stated that he wasn't Guardiola's pupil and that he's most grateful to Sampdoria for giving him a chance to play. Not a very big connection with Barca.

FC Barcelona: Win of the youth system

It's not just raw speed, it's raw instinct. He doesn't exactly think about what he's doing, he just does it. His close hold of the ball in tight situations is pretty good though, it's his first touch that isn't great.

    Serie A 2012/2013

Inter Milan have signed five players for next season, including 20-year-old Sampdoria forward Mauro Icardi (via ESPN FC). Icardi has scored nine goals in 27 Serie A appearances this season. He is a former Barcelona youth player. The other four players are Diego Laxalt, Hugo Campagnaro, Marco...

    Neymar - v2

Thiago hangs out quite a bit with Alves and Adriano and has that kind of personality that's stereotyped with Brazilian players. He's more humble and hardworking about it though.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v2

With Bayern's defense, scoring up to 4 goals isn't the easiest thing in the world either. That would mean getting the better of their defense or catching them off guard 4 times without them adjusting to fix whatever errors come up. But yes I agree that conceding is the bigger worry.

    Thomas Müller

Look it's not a completely horrible thing, but it's not a fair thing either. Every person has a different definition for what is "acceptable" and I'd personally say that this is a foul that should've been called, but it doesn't make him a complete bastard for doing it. Laughing about it right...

    Thomas Müller

He's mimicking the block he played on Alba for Robben's goal. Shows that he did it on purpose and with bad intent for a dirty goal.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v2

That's the thing. No matter how hopeless things look right now, playing Villa as a #9 to occupy defenders could completely change the look of things. If they use this tactic, then we'll see Messi in his best position/role. The only thing left to see is how Messi plays that day and if his fire...
