    Premier League 24/25

Lots of players 30 or over and with injury problems. Ederson, Walker, Stones, De Bruyne, Gundogan, Bernardo etc. That core that served them so well has aged.

This is an absolute pumping. This goes beyond just missing Rodri surely. There's something not right - this is the most vulnerable we have seen Pep's City since his first season there.

The thing about them is they can be brilliant or they can struggle. They are inconsistent but know how to entertain and when they're on it they're as good as most teams in the league. If they had consistency (which is the hardest thing to find) they'd battle for the title.

La Liga Round 14: Celta - Barca 2-2

I can take or leave her. I don't wanna go off topic though. You know where the women thread is ;)

I have some very strange culinary preferences.

    I don't. I love pineapple on a pizza

The amount of space Tottenham are finding in City's half is mind-blowing.

Two beautiful goals, Kulusevski and Maddison don't get enough credit. High quality footballers. Everyone acknowledges how good Son is. Always rated Bissouma too, as a player.

    Manchester United

So, after what feels like an eternity due to the interlull, Amorim's first game is tomorrow at 16.30 UK Time, away at Ipswich. Thus far this season they have 15 points from 11 games. That's an average of 1.36 points per game. Extrapolated across the entire season, that is a very poor (for a...

Yeah I saw him score a goal a couple of months back. He had some good goalscoring form for a while.

Had him in my team for a while too, lol. I predicted 2-1 Brighton so happy with the score for now. Need Fulham to come back and win, Villa to come back, and Everton-Brentford to stay a draw. Got an exact for Chelsea.

    Basketball/NBA

Likely talking about how short each session/quarter is, how many breaks there are, so many commercials, all the glitzy stuff around them. That does take away from them somewhat and there are a lot of people who want to 'Americanise' football for the even greater financial gain, given the sport's...

Had picked him in the Fantasy Challenge game, then changed last night. Forgot to look up lineups or I'd likely have brought him in. He hasn't been playing as much recently, not sure if injured or Welbeck was preferred. This week's challenge is 'Economise' - pick 7 players with a £45m budget.

Looks another potential banana skin. I am gonna go 1-2 though.

    La Liga 24/25

For some reason 69 percent of us backed them to win away at Valencia. Other than that it is has been a perfect card since last night - so far.

    Cristiano Ronaldo

Harsh to call Ronaldo a YouTube bum ;) Seriously, though, I have no idea what this Mr Beast guy does. I flicked through the video and it said he confined himself in solitary and buried himself alive. Is that entertainment these days?

    Hans-Dieter Flick

Mate your disrespect and ignorance of one of the best players ever is actually quite disappointing and very modern fan. Just admit you know nothing about the player and leave it there. Or learn more about his life here:

    Hans-Dieter Flick

Excellent for Botafogo too, in an era when Brazilian football was very very good. But of course to some like IniestaGOAT it doesn't count because it isn't European football in the 21st century. If you haven't seen anything mentioned from Garrincha's career, that just highlights how he's another...

    Hans-Dieter Flick

Garrincha is better than Henry though, when you strip away the natural fitness advantages. What did Henry ever actually do in the game outside the confines of a PL which wasn't yet the best? He was a bit part player at France 98 and not particularly impressive at any other tournament. Constantly...
