I also don't think having fewer games will be the benefit you think it will because even when they had time off this season they struggled.     Read that they were offering tickets for tonight's game to students in Miami, something like $3.50 per ticket and you can get 5 tickets. They're paying so much to the teams when not selling tickets at all or extremely cheaply. Like you said, 'other' money sources.

    Like I said to soul earlier, CONMEBOL plays a 90 game programme (18 games per team) to eliminate 3 of 10 teams. Seems overkill from the sporting POV. He made good counter points, but still.
