    14 - Marcus Rashford

Greenwood was a much bigger talent than both, for me. He's just a waster of a human being.

He has some degree of talent (I think a lot of people overrate his natural ability though). There's a potential upside but a lot of risks too. People should not be blind to how it could go pear-shaped (I outlined some of the reasons earlier). I hope it won't though.

Elanga is a simply ok player who had a better season than his real ability (and even then, it wasn't amazing). In my opinion. He might improve at Newcastle, because they have got more out of Gordon than I expected them to, but I still believe 60 million Euros for him is a lot.

Is it really 270 grand a week (as UK we think salary weekly, not yearly). That's too much for him imo. Less than United were paying him but Barca really should only be paying about 100 grand a week given the baggage he comes with. But obviously that was pie in the sky.

    14 - Marcus Rashford

I won't talk about the financial aspects, just him as a player. Positives: 1) On form he can be a statistical monster, even if it is short bursts and purple patches. If he hits form he can really go through a scoring and assisting run; 2) His passing can be a bit better than people claim at...

    Manchester United

Indeed. Said it before that they are finished as a club.

    Manchester United

Not a United fan, hate them. Just found it funny even if it is a friendly. I also think he will prove to be less of a disaster for them than Amorim will.

    Petrinha's Barca

Thanks for the heartfelt response. I am sorry she isn't around still. Amazing to think she'd be nearly 50 now. Probably married with kids (if she was single and no kids when she died) :( It sounds like you shared a deep connection indeed and she impacted your life greatly.

'Erik ten Hag endured a nightmare start to life as Bayer Leverkusen manager as his side lost 5-1 to Flamengo U20s.'          Even named a strong side, lol...

@Don Juan Laporta Estruch Here's an example of how extremely bitter and deluded United fans are about Barca, and their inferiority complex. Sooo much wrong with this trainwreck of a post, but this guy is an awful Redcafe poster in general (simonhch). The guy even brags about closing massive...

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi V2

Second goal is fantastic. However, the Messi assist is the pick there for me. That sort of vision isn't normal for a footballer. Bear in mind he's on a flat pitch and doesn't have the slightly elevated and the wider view we have to spot Alba. He's also doing it at speed and so quickly...

    Diego Maradona

Second part. Imagine hitting the post 5 times in a row, especially from that angle. I am sure this video has been posted here before, but not with Zidane being mesmerised by it. And he was much closer to the goal, central and just doing wee slow volleys. Diego was smashing at power, lol. ' is...

    Diego Maradona

Found these on Redcafe. Even Zidane looks silly trying to do genius Diego things.

    14 - Marcus Rashford

They have a vast inferiority complex about Barca due to those 2 CL Finals, Messi being a lot better than Ronaldo, Barca under Pep being lauded for their brilliant style in a way their Ferguson teams were not etc.

    Women's football

It's shaping up to be a repeat of the Men's Euro final - hopefully same outcome if so, too.

    14 - Marcus Rashford

Said it a few times, but don't think Rashford can play as a CF (at least not to a good enough level that Barca need). Maybe as a fluid three, but not as a hold up player like Lewa has been in his prime. His best position by a mile is LW. I guess he can fill in at RW too but he loves cutting in...

    Real Madrid

The discussion in @bismp's excellent thread ranking teams of the 21st century got me thinking. And this question has probably been asked long before I became a poster here. I made a mention that Modric and Kroos were upgrades on Xabi Alonso. I rate Alonso as a world-class player in his time...

    14 - Marcus Rashford

Need to hope Rashford himself is happy with that and understands his role (assuming that is true as Twitter can lie, I'd bet that is fabricated). If Rashford is seen as a super sub and rotation player, and I would think that is how Flick likely sees him as he seems loyal to Raphinha, you have...

    14 - Marcus Rashford

Aye I said it the other day that Diaz or Rashford doesn't move the needle much more than the other, but Rashford is the better financial package and lower commitment, so he'd be the better option in that respect. If it was the other way about financially I'd be saying try to sign Diaz. But that...
