I really don't see what he would gain from lying about a comment like that. He's not working for either side here.

Sports and MD write sensational stories to sell newspapers. Mr. Rodrigues has no reason to lie here.
  3. Cruijffista

    Pep Guardiola

Stop it, journalists get paid to write stories. I really don't see what Mr. Rodrigues gains from lying here.

There was a story that leaked that Pep had talked to Neymar's father and tried to foil our deal by stating that Tito wouldn't know how to effectively play Messi and Neymar at the same time. What does Odilio Rodrigues gain from lying? I know Pep has his reputation on the line here, so of course...

    Pep Guardiola

That's what makes Odilio Rodrigues' claims even stronger, he doesn't have a side he's working for here. He has no reason to lie.
  6. Cruijffista

    Pep Guardiola

So what does Odilio Rodrigues gain from lying about the Neymar story?
  7. Cruijffista

    Pep Guardiola

What does Odilio Rodrigues gain from lying? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Sorry I'm going to believe him when he said Pep talked to Neymar's father and said what he said. He gains nothing from lying about the situation, especially when the deal has already been made and they aren't that happy about it...

    Pep Guardiola

How is it Tito's fault? Management can be blamed for not notifying Tito or Roura that Thiago needed to be played a certain amount of minutes or that a stipulation kicked in where we could potentially lose millions on a transfer. The contract and the stipulation was signed when Pep was still...

He's clearly referencing the story like he's blaming Rosell for the leaked story. Our management did not leak the story, it's been proven it was a Brazilian outlet that did so.

The Atletico supporters @ Colchonero definitely suspect something is up. Oliver is meant to play Barcelona Football.

    Sandro Rosell

I will withhold my judgment on Rosell until I see all the moves he makes this summer. It was brilliant how he held off Real Madrid in the pursuit of Neymar.
  12. Cruijffista

    Pep Guardiola

Pep is claiming that Rosell is leaking a story that claims Pep talked to Neymar and his father about how he thought Tito couldn't play Messi and Neymar together. Which is in fact a lie. It was a Brazilian outlet that first leaked the story. He's clearly lying through his teeth right now. Why is...

It's sad to see this kid go but we have to move on. Hopefully Cesc's role with the team is more clearly defined now. Oliver Torres would be a great replacement.

    Pep Guardiola

It took me awhile to distinguish Pep the player from Pep the coach. The man is a tactical genius, there's no debating that. The fact he is lying through his teeth right now just to hurt the club (more Rosell than the club) is just sad to see. I never thought there would be a day I hated this man.

    Pep Guardiola

I'm 30 years old and have been a Cule before Pep even played for the B team. Watching Pep do this hurts like when Figo left the club for Real Madrid. I can't help but feel betrayed by a guy who I considered one of us. I held him in great esteem, maybe too high. He's out for Pep Guardiola and...

I hope Bojan lets us keep this for the forum. There should be a snake with the face of Pep on it though.

    Pep Guardiola

Yeah, Pep was absolutely right about Ibrahimovic and Sanchez. (Please sense the sarcasm.) I have no question that Neymar will end up being one of our most important signings. Could you have imagined what would have went down if Rosell didn't get the deal done before the Confederations Cup started.

I've never been fully behind Tito. I would have appointed Luis Enrique after the great job he did with our youth as manager of Barcelona B. He understands the ins and outs of the club but his stint in Roma probably put a doubt in everybody's mind. I still think he could be the man for the job.
  19. Cruijffista

    Pep Guardiola

There's been rumors that he offered to but told he didn't need to. I'll be honest and say that I always thought Luis Enrique was the man for the job and thought he would be the one to take over when Pep finally left.

Summer is not over yet. It remains to be seen what Rosell does or doesn't do. I'll judge when the summer is over but he needs to get us a CB and I have no problem with getting either Thiago Silva or Marquinhos. Those are the 2 I prefer. You do realize Tito was a very sick man this year right...
