    Sergio Busquets

He was good today, but his performance depends on the situation and matchup type. Problem for Barca is that they haven't decided to bring in a midfielder or a setup that a manager is willing to use where Busquets regularly gets rotated.

    Frenkie de Jong

Great game today. Kroos and Modric were having flashbacks of 2019 CL Frenkie.

    4 - Ronald McDonald Araújo

Vini Jr. was left stranded on the Island of Araujo again.

So many reactionary peeps were convinced Xavi would replace him with some midtable La Liga keeper last season. So many haters have disappeared from this forum recently.

    Marcos Alonso

This Supercup doesn't matter too much competitively(although the prize money would be nice), but this man should not be playing in any league or European game. He is getting too much mileage from Xavi out of his first game against Bayern.

    3 - Alejandro Balde

He had a couple nice attacking moments near the beginning of the game, but want to see more. Also had a pretty bad defensive read in the 37th minute of the game. Otherwise was solid defensively.

    Frenkie de Jong

Failed to leave any sort of mark in the game. Wasn't bad, but wasn't good either.

    4 - Ronald McDonald Araújo

He vanquishes attackers left and right. The protector that Barca needs.

    Cr150

Messi literally banished him to the shadow realm by winning the WC. Messi pretty much exceeded all of Ronaldo's achievements. The one thing CR7 has going for his legacy is the 4 CL in 5 years including a 3 peat. 17, 16, 12, 15 goals scored in those 4 wins.

Eto'o vs Suarez : who was Closer of the ballon d'or ?

Not as good as Suarez's 13/14 season with Liverpool. And the years before that with Barca and Inter, he had Ronaldinho, Messi, and Sneijder who were the straws that stirred the drink on the front line.

    Basketball/NBA

Don't bother till the playoffs atleast. Regular season is meaningless and stats are juiced up in this era by lax officiating for superstars.

Eto'o vs Suarez : who was Closer of the ballon d'or ?

Suarez was better. You can build a great team around Suarez, less so with Eto'o. Eto'o didn't prove himself by being the focal point of attack at Barca or Inter. An elite, elite #2 but never a #1.

    Kylian Muppet

Florentino Perez signing French and Brazilian players, probably the 2 most talented national teams. Barca did sign Kounde, Raphinha, and renew Dembele, but Xavi and Barca still insisting on having a Spanish core that has gotten embarrassed on the international stage since 2014.

    Kylian Muppet

Don't know if Argentina would've won the cup, but some of their fans still blame that loss on Riquelme being substituted out.

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi

Silenced all his critics. Is there any real argument for him not being the GOAT? I know there are some extremely casual sports fans, who really only watch the sport during the World Cup, who still go with Pele mostly because of 3 WCs (despite him being injured for the 2nd one). Can't imagine...
  17. S

    Ousmane Dembélé

France definitely would've benefited from playing an extra midfielder rather than Dembele. Dembele doesn't produce enough to justify playing a front 4 with only 2 midfielders. Griezmann, despite his work rate, isn't a central midfielder.

    World Cup 2022

Argentina barely beat the Drake curse.

    Kylian Muppet

He'll need to start winning CLs with PSG or join another league where he'll get more media attention. His club career isn't on par with his achievements and performances on the international stage. But he has got plenty of time at his age.

    Ángel Di María

Great player and going to go down as one of the best playmaking wings of the 2010s. Obviously, this entire Argentina team will go down in history, but curious to see how many of them will go down as all-time greats when their careers are over. Messi and Di maria for sure. Enzo and Alvarez...
