    Frenkie de Jong

In no man's land for the goal, but ball should never have gotten to Fred in the first place. Pretty good game.

    11 - Raphinha

Bust of a signing. Hopefully the club will be able to recoup the transfer fee by sending him back to the PL. Club has to do better with its forward signings. Torres didn't deliver, nor did Raphinha.

    Xavi Hernández

Raphinha was pretty frustrated about Xavi's decision to sub him off. The team also would've noticed Xavi making dumb rotations in a big European game that the team really wanted to win. This is the type of managerial performance that makes a manager lose the dressing room. Xavi better be...

    Xavi Hernández

Fireable offence to start Alonso over Christensen as a CB in this game. No one in the right frame of mind would ever consider Alonso as a better choice. Some European success would do wonders for the confidence of the squad, but Xavi is just self sabotaging. Ended up having to fix his mistake by...

    8 - Pedri

I don't believe in B. Silva. Think he has been overrated on this forum and won't have the impact that many think he will.

    Frenkie de Jong

Gavi brings some bite to the midfield. Presses, wins balls, aggressive in challenges, and has good workrate. Adds a different dimension to the midfield than De Jong can. Gavi has had games where he is useless, but he also is younger with more potential to grow. FDJ just seems like he is a good...

    Frenkie de Jong

Agree about performances. De jong has been better this season than Busquets and has had far better performances. But Xavi's opinion is the one that matters and I don't think De jong has convinced Xavi that he fits his system long term.

    Barca Transfers and Rumors

Another old dude. You can't have success if your players can't put in the workrate on both sides of the ball.
  9. S

    Frenkie de Jong

FDJ was never seen as an integral piece by Xavi the way he sees Busquets. De jong has to do more work to build that belief from Xavi. Xavi's opinion is the one that matters.

    Xavi Hernández

Bad lineup choices. Only way it even remotely makes sense is if Xavi cares more about trying to guarantee the league than Europa. With an 8 pt lead, more likely to get silverware from the league. But I feel that winning a European tie like this would be great for the confidence of the squad...

    Frenkie de Jong

Type of game that makes manager lose long term trust. Xavi already was okay with him leaving, and dropping another stinker in a big game hurts him despite FDJ's recent league form
  12. S

    Marcos Alonso

Xavi's fault for putting him in that situation. Alonso did his best.
  13. S

    23 - Jules Kounde

He has been in bad form since the start of the World Cup. Yes he hasn't played CB regularly for some time and had a brand new partner, but no excuse to make the mistakes he made tonight.

EL: Manchester United - FC Barcelona (4-3)

Xavi has sabotaged this team with his choice of Alonso. There is no way anyone watches Alonso play and thinks he should be anywhere on the pitch in a big game. Man is slow as a turtle and turns like a boat. Major L by Xavi to not play Christensen.

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi

He doesn't need to add anything to his legacy, but would be nice for him to get a CL title on the backend of his career considering it has been 8 years since he won it.

    Xavi Hernández

Looking forward to seeing how this Barca side matches up against Man Utd. Good litmus test.
  17. S

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

Probably used to the extended Bundesliga breaks.
  18. S

    11 - Raphinha

Yeah, just don't think he is working out too well so far. Probably will try to sell him to the PL to recoup money and go for another winger.
  19. S

    Franck Kessie

Patience. Trust the process. The project is still under construction by Xavi.
  20. S

    23 - Jules Kounde

He just comes across as way too laid back on the pitch. Because he is so good, he often looks super calm and composed and not letting pressure get to him, but sometimes just has a moment where you think he should have been more focused and intense there.
