    I don't think its fair to expect Messi to destory a team who has 2 players constantly running out to mark him. In the end his presence on the pitch opened up space for Alves. He also had some nice runs and was unlucky not to score. We won 2-1 vs the 2nd defence in Europe of the 21st century...

    You are also relying on Messi staying injury free like Ronaldo. He is more injury prone than him currently and in his 30s he could be even worse. Ronaldo may also go to destroy the French league while Messi stays in a more competitive Spain.
