He’s been the 3rd best so far, after Godin/Gimenez. But then Brazil have played Switzerland/Costa Rica/Serbia/Mexico who you’d expect their defence to do well against. The “best CB in the world” comment was just to try get reactions out of people on here. -

Why did his foot go towards the ball if he deliberately took him down, he could have hacked his legs from anywhere.. he was inches away from the ball but caught his leg instead. -

That wasn’t deliberate.. he genuinely went for the ball. His boot was inches off it. -

The rules changed a couple of years ago, if it’s not a handball or a genuine red card challenge like studs up etc it’s a yellow now even if it’s last man. -

That’s just what people say as an excuse when a result doesn’t go their way.. (other team didn’t want to play) It was a masterclass from Uruguay other than one mistake... do you expect them to play an open game and let Portugal counter like they did against Spain lol -
