Oh what a post.... There’s no convincing him. It’s an obsession this height and strength thing with him.. was telling me a while back that Benzema is in the same category as Giroud and Costa because he is tall and strong when Benzema is probably 80% technique and the rest those attributes... -

Never mentioned anything other than the midfield,, the movement and space they create with direct passing from Kroos and Modric is closer to Peps than what we have currently. -

Our 4-3-3 since Peps hasn’t functioned anywhere near as well as that (which is obviously impossible) but Madrid’s midfield is closer to Peps midfield than we’ve had recently. If you’re so sure on the 3 in midfield not working why has Madrid won 4 CLs in 5 years..... with 3 in midfield!! Ours... -

40 is loads for a backup but we paid 30 for Paco. And with Aspas you can genuinely rotate to give other players rest knowing that he will perform. Whether he would take a bench role is another thing.- Vilarrubi
