    Martin Montoya

Great tournament from him. Hope Tito was taking note and gives him plenty of minutes next season. He'd be my first choice RB. What are you talking about? He's already as good as Alves when it comes to defending, he is a better crosser of the ball, and he doesn't leave everyone else to bail him...

Fine. I'll let you drown in your own ignorance. :)

    UEFA European U21 Championship

If you were on the receiving end of that "tackle", you would not be saying that. Seriously, some of you need to read up on the rules of association football, because you are well out of touch. Marco van Basten anyone?

    UEFA European U21 Championship

Those of you saying that the foul on Tello wasn't a penalty, clearly don't understand the modern ruling. It doesn't matter if the defender got something on the ball. He came right through the back of Tello, and could have caused injury.

Looks like I jinxed it... Sorry! Fantastic tournament from our lads (apart from Tello :(). On the subject of moronic pitch invaders. Fine them. Ban them. And beat the shit out of them so they don't do it again. Rant over.

    Who should replace Thiago?

What makes you think that Gundogan can replace Xavi? One season in the CL? I like Gundogan, but from what I have seen of him, he is no Xavi. But who is? Thaigo is best placed to perform the Xavi role, having graduated through La Masia and had the direct benefit of Pep's coaching and X&I's...

    Who should replace Thiago?

Cesc would be our 3rd CM (he is anyway according to Tito). And S. Roberto would be cover for Cesc. Unfortunately I don't get to see Barca B play, other than the goals. But whenever I have seen S. Roberto perform for the senior team I have always been impressed. Although I recognize that...

    Who should replace Thiago?

    This sums it up perfectly.

    Thiago Translantara

There is no guarantee he will get more playing time at ManU. Plus he will need time to adapt to a new league/football culture/style of play/management etc. That could take as long a whole season. :dito: I wouldn't blame Xavi. He's a footballer, who loves playing football for Barcelona, and...

    Thiago Translantara

Mata is 25 now. And the difference with these other players is they aren't/weren't playing for one of the greatest club teams the world has ever witnessed. Thiago is. And arguably the best midfield in world football also. And I don't see how staying at Barca is bad career move. He may get more...

    Thiago Translantara

If Thiago does want out, then the least he can do is let the club know so they can look for a replacement i.e. Isco. (Albeit he isn't like-for-like). Personally, I think it's just posturing from his father, so his son gets promised more playing time. I would still be very disappointed to lose...

    Pedro Rodriguez

I believe that his best position is through the middle, or at an Inside-Right, rather than disciplined Winger. He has excellent movement and looks to receive a pass, side-on, allowing him to get a quick shot away, or a one-two-pass. He does appear to play with the shackles off, when on NT duty...

    Andrés Iniesta

It's interesting seeing him for the NT in that Inside-Left/Free Role position. When he plays on the Left for Barca it seems to take something away from his game. I suppose because Messi has the free-roaming role for us and you can't really have two players in the same team performing that role...

Confederations Cup 2013 - Final: Brazil 3-0 Spain

Indeed. Reminds me of Donkey from Shrek. That's Martín Caceres, ex-Barcelona. He thinks he's a gangster-rapper. They are still THE TEAM TO BEAT in world football. MoTM = :iniesta: Masterclass performance and a privilege to watch him.

    Fernando Torres

    - Klose - Negredo - Michu - Berbatov - Agirretxe - Burak Yılmaz - Aubameyang - Wilfried Bony All are better and cheaper options. Although maybe not all of them are ideal, but still more sensible than Torres. And you want us to spend 20m on Has-been with a 12% Shot Conversion and ZERO re-sale...

    Crouch or Klose

You bet! It has important scientific merit.
